Follow God…

Searching, waiting, looking for what the Father has for us through our own fleshly lens is never a good thing. “God has a plan for you.” This is something every christian has heard at least once in his or her lifetime. Go left says one thought, no go right says the next thought. Feelings amount to nothing in the spiritual realm. How you feel about anything pertaining to Christ means nothing. And yet we chalk so many things up to a feeling, a gut instinct. When will the children of Christ find their answers through the scope of our father given to us through the spirit he has placed in us? The strength to do the right thing does not come from us but from God, the decrement from the Holy Spirit and the tenacity to carry it out through constant prayer through Jesus Christ. We must fight dressed in the armor of God through the power of the triune God. Prayer and Fasting is the Key to a life with Christ. We should want of nothing other than this, exactly what God has for us. Our joy comes through the Lord, not our accomplishments, not our feelings, not our friends, not our family, and not our things.

The word of God guides us in the way we should go. These scriptures are the start of a long journey for you if you are willing to take it. Be in the word, fast and pray. Demand to not be ignored by God. Restle with him like Jacob did, dance for him like Daniel and do His bidding like Paul. Have faith like Noah, stand steadfast like Job. Look for him like Ruth, have patience and wait for him like Esther. Follow His word, He will make the right decisions, not you. May these scriptures encourage you and set you on a path with God that will never be tame.

14. For the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead: 15. And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but not him which died for them, and rose again… 20. Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God. 21. For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

2 Corinthians 5:14-21

Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.

1 Corinthians 15:58

Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, wait you like men, be strong. Let all your things be done with charity.

1 Corinthians 16:13-14

Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal. And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing. And though I have the fight of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing. And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing. Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envied not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, Doth not behave itself unseemly, seekers not her own, is not easily provoked, thinkers no evil; rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth; beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things. Charity never faith: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away. For we know in part, and we prophesy in part. But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away. When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I spake as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things. For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known. And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.

1 Corinthians 13

For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ; for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.

Romans 1:16-17

But rise, and stand upon they feet: for I have appeared unto thee for this purpose, to make thee a minister and a witness both of these things which though haste seen, and of those things in the which I will appear unto thee: Delivering thee from the people, and from the Gentiles, unto whom now I send thee, to open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.

Acts 26:16-18

Be not afraid, but speak, and hold not thy peace: for I am with thee, and no man shall set on thee to hurt thee: for I have much people in this city.

Acts 18:9-10

Equality

May we never think we are above others, for God saved us just as much as He saved everyone else.

I was once talking to someone, during that conversation I wondered in my mind. How, if all of these different types of churches serve The Christ, why do we all seem so divided? It is said that the devil is the author of confusion. Well, if this is so then all of these different churches disagreeing with each other makes sense. Notice how God wrote 1 Bible, and yet the world has many different versions. No wonder we are so confused as to what God stands for and what he wants from us. It pains me to think of this in depth, I have been to many churches and it seemed like few if any at all withheld the inner fire and desire the Holy Spirit feeds us with. There are many things I could say about this lack of unity, but I will keep it short and only touch on one thing. We all seem to judge people from different churches, whether it be their prayers, music, worship, service, preacher/pastor, ceremonies etc; one of the biggest things we do is compare sins. Oh how the mighty have fallen. In the Bible it says this…

“Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.”

Galations 5:19-21

If you do not know the meaning of a word, have the dedication to look it up… fornication = sex of unmarried persons, Lasciviousness = lust, Variance = Disagreement, emulations = attempting to be equal or excellence ones qualities, seditions = rebelling speeches, heresies = belief or opinion contrary to religious doctrine, inherit = take by death of an ancestor. (Jesus died for us)

You see, all of these sins equal the same punishment, so why are we comparing and judging? Your walk with God is just your walk with God and that goes for them as well; their walk with God is their walk with God. Focus on what God wants from you and just you. Not you and your brother/sister in Christ, not you and your mother, just you. God will lead you, you just have to believe. We are so busy being tangled in everyone else’s mess that we cannot even begin to conceive what kind of mess we are in due to us trying to do everything while claiming we are letting God lead. You cannot work on you and your brother at the same time.

For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again. And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother’s eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye? Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye?

Mathew 7:2-4

This is not about the church people that sit next to you, or the preacher who preaches loud, or the cute choir singer. This is not about your spouse, your children or your elderly family members. This is about you my friends, we are held accountable for our own salvation, some of us are in charge of others as well but you cannot, I repeat, you cannot help anyone else unless you have a good handle on your own.

Family members stress you out, pray for God to give you patience and love. Loved ones make you angry, pray that God gives you strength and wisdom to only say what the spirit leads you to say. Work confuses you, pray for understanding. Do not know what to do next in life, pray that God leads the way to the path he has planned for you and then be willing to see the signs, even if it is not what you want .

Know that I care about you all dearly, may we all pray for understanding and patience in these trying times.

Sincerely,

*This Girl*
